A better way to find your next guest
Guest research gets more interesting when you look beyond credentials and start with the kind of conversation you want to have.
By Jordan Ellis

A strong guest is not only someone with an impressive résumé. They are someone who can make your listeners feel more curious by the end of a conversation. The easiest way to find those people is to begin with the feeling and subject you want the episode to hold.
“Look for a point of view you cannot get from a search result.”
Start with a local question
What is changing in your city? Who is making something generous, strange, or useful? Which rooms are full of people solving a problem your audience cares about? Local questions lead you to guests who have texture in their stories, not just polished talking points.
Ask other creators who they have met recently. Your next great guest may already be one introduction away, and a warm recommendation gives the invitation a more human beginning. You can also browse the creator directory when you want to widen the search.
Make the invitation easy to answer
Be specific about why you are reaching out, what you would love to explore, and how much time you are asking for. People are more likely to say yes when they can picture the conversation and see the care behind the invitation. If you are ready to meet more creators, create your free profile and make the invitation easier to find.
